About Me
Dr. Francesca Greco is an international expert specialized in water and food policy. She is currently a Marie Curie Fellow at the University of Bergamo. From 2011 to 2017, she held the position of Gender and Water Programme Officer at UNESCO and previously served as a UN Volunteer for UNESCO in Ghana from 2004 to 2005. Since 2003, she has been an active member of the London Water Research Group, conducting extensive research on virtual water, water footprint, water policy, groundwater aquifers, and food exports across the Middle East and Africa. With over 20 years of experience, Dr. Greco has contributed her expertise to UNESCO and FAO, as well as providing consultancy services to several environmental organizations including WWF Abruzzo (Italy), WWF Italy, Care International UK, and the Istituto Italia-Ghana.
